Steel scrapThe steel scrap area can be roughly divided into two sections:
Steel scrapSteel scrap that cannot be used is classified as all material that is over 1.5 metres long and that still needs to be cut in a large scrap shear to a steelwork size of a maximum of 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, as well as material with build-ups of materials such as plastic, wood, oil etc.
Steel scrap that can be used is scrap that can be broken without the need for any further processing, mainly production waste such as sheet steel scrap, iron shavings, forging scrap, punching scrap etc.
Foundry scrapUsable foundry scrap is defined as being special scrap that is as consistent as possible in the material, i.e. without material mixing, that has around the same unit size and provides the same results under analysis.
